About the Startup Cup Organizers
Alice Fenton, Silicon Valley StartUp Cup Organizer
After I experienced being a part of the TCC StartUp Cup, the first StartUp Cup, first hand, I had envisioned it coming one day to California. When Sean Griffin, Founder and CEO of the StartUp Cup business model competition, asked me if I would be a part of a team to bring StartUp Cup to Silicon Valley, my immediate response was, “Yes, what can I do to help?”
I was one of the producers of the TCC StartUp Cup in Tulsa, OK , a precursor to the StartUp Cup business model competition. I was inspired by the judges and coaches as they worked with each entrepreneur to make their “big idea” for their business the best it could be. Those that were selected to participate in the competition were motivated and responsive to the coaching and guidance that they received throughout the process. I am excited to be a part of bringing the StartUp Cup business model competition to the communities in our valley.
We have received a very positive response as we have introduced StartUp Cup to organizations, colleges, businesses, and leaders in Silicon Valley. I look forward to working with our Sponsors, Supporters, Judges and Coaches as we work together to create an environment through the StartUp Cup business model competition to build new businesses in our valley.
